Hi – I am trying to get my head around how to approach handling recurring payments and using the features of your theme (claim listings, field/feature restrictions, etc…).
With my current directory, I use WooCommerce Subscriptions and Memberships with some custom work to tie in feature rules based on Subscription/Membership levels. WooCommerce handles my recurring payments well and without a hitch.
So, I have set up Listing Packages and rules around them, enabled them for claim and have installed and configured WooCommerce and WooCommerce Subscriptions and Memberships. Now it is occurring to me that Subscriptions and Memberships might not be needed.
Ultimately, I am quite happy with how you can manage feature sets and tie them to product purchases. So if I can live without the product Variable Subscription (another user requested that feature integration, which I would love to see and have upvoted for that), I have a couple of questions to help me determine the best approach:
- How do I allow for or enable recurring payments with the Listing Packages and/or Listing Subscriptions? (I cannot find explanations to this anywhere.)
- Did the option of Listing Subscription become available because I installed WooCommerce subscriptions? I did not notice it before.
- What are the implications of the two (2) Subscription Types?
