Currently, when creating listing types, the author block links to a user’s Buddypress member/profile page. The same is true for Yoast’s SEO plugin key %%AUTHORLINK%%. In my setting, this makes sense for users with role eg. “customer” who can submit free listings, but for paid listing owners with role eg. “vendor”, it essentially duplicates their presence on my website, considering they already paid to have a listing, ie. a more elaborate profile page…
How can I disable or ideally redirect BP member/profile pages for listing owners with role “vendor” to their main listing page (so that their BP member page is never accessed), but keep BP member/profile pages for users with role “customer”?
I have extensively researched the buddypress forum page and stackoverflow but all I could find were examples of how to hide/show BP member page based on the visitor’s user role.
Any help you can offer here is much appreciated.
