After installing and running some tests with woocommerce subscriptions I have an important questions:
Upgrading a package.
I set up 2 packages both on 1 day renewal for testing. One at 9.99 and one at 19.99.
Yesterday I signed up for the 9.99 package. Today after it renewed I switched package to the 19.99 package.
The payment was taken instantly but it did not take into account the amount already paid.
This one one hour after renewal payment of 9.99 was taken so I would expect a payment which was reduced pro-rata based on the current package.
Now the customer owns the 19.99 package but has paid 19.99 + 9.99 for the same period – this is not correct.
Surely the correct algorithm is to charge the 19.99 minus ((current package cost/hours in package duration)*hours not used)??
Subscriptions tab in dashboard
After upgrading/downgrading a few times I noticed this in a new tab in the dashboard – “subscriptions”:
It suggests that all 4 subscriptions are active and will be charged tomorrow.
Bit concerned as planning on going live in 2 weeks.
Can you offer any input to this?
